మసూద్ అజార్ను అంతర్జాతీయ ఉగ్రవాదిగా నిలబెట్టడంలో ప్రధాని నరేంద్ర మోదీ విఫలమయ్యారని కాంగ్రెస్ అధ్యక్షుడు రాహుల్ గాంధీ తీవ్ర విమర్శలు చేశారు. చైనా అధ్యక్షుడు జిన్పింగ్తో మాట్లాడేందుకు ప్రధాని భయపడుతున్నారని ఎద్దేవా చేశారు.

జైషే మహ్మద్ ఉగ్రసంస్థ అధినేత మసూద్ అజార్ని అంతర్జాతీయ ఉగ్రవాదిగా గుర్తించే విషయంలో చైనా వేసిన అడ్డుపుల్ల... భారత్లో రాజకీయ దుమారం సృష్టిస్తోంది. ఇది ముమ్మాటికీ ప్రధాని నరేంద్ర మోదీ వైఫల్యమేనని ఆరోపించారు కాంగ్రెస్ అధ్యక్షుడు రాహుల్ గాంధీ. చైనా అధ్యక్షుడు జిన్ పింగ్కు మోదీ భయపడుతున్నారని తీవ్ర విమర్శలు చేశారు.
మసూద్ను అంతర్జాతీయ సమాజం ముందు దోషిగా నిలబెట్టే అవకాశాన్ని భారత్ కోల్పోయిందని, చైనా అధ్యక్షుడు జిన్పింగ్తో మాట్లాడటానికి ఎందుకు సంశయిస్తున్నారో సమాధానం చెప్పాలని ట్విట్టర్ వేదికగా మోదీకి రాహుల్ గాంధీ ప్రశ్నలు సంధించారు.
- గుజరాత్లో చైనా అధ్యక్షుడు జిన్పింగ్తో కలిసి మోదీ చెట్టాపట్టాలేసుకుని తిరిగారు.
- దిల్లీలో జిన్పింగ్ను ఆలింగనం చేసుకున్నారు మోదీ.

పుల్వామా ఉగ్రదాడి సూత్రధారి, జైషే అధినేత మసూద్పై ఆంక్షల విషయంలో తమకు మరింత సమయం కావాలంటూ చైనా అడ్డుపుల్ల వేసింది.
"చైనా ఇలా మనకి వ్యతిరేకంగా వ్యవహరిస్తున్నప్పుడు... ప్రధాని గతంలో ఆ దేశ ప్రర్యటనకు వెళ్లడం వల్ల ఏం లాభం జరిగిందన్న ప్రశ్న ప్రతి ఒక్క భారతీయుడి మెదడును తొలిచేస్తోంది" అని రాహుల్ వ్యాఖ్యానించారు.
"ఉగ్రవాదానికి వ్యతిరేకంగా ప్రపంచం జరుపుతున్న పోరుకు ఇది చీకటి రోజు. మసూద్ అజార్పై ఆంక్షలను చైనా అడ్డుకోవటం పరోక్షంగా పాకిస్థాన్లో ఉన్న ఉగ్రమూకను ప్రోత్సహించటమే"నని కాంగ్రెస్ అధికార ప్రతినిధి సుర్జేవాలా అన్నారు.

LEADIN:
As the Brexit drama plays out in Britain, expats and holidaymakers are watching and waiting from afar.
The island of Corfu is arguably the most British of the Greek islands, and, for now at least, business is good.
But the Brits there are counting down the days till March 29.
STORYLINE:
Many of Corfu's customs are rooted in the British protectorate era of the 19th century.
Its fortresses and palaces once held British soldiers and Lord High Commissioners.
Authors Lawrence and Gerald Durrell lived here too, and their books about Corfu became part of popular culture.
Charter flights from the UK have been arriving here since the 1970s.
This year's high season is expected to bring nearly a million tourists to the Ionian island, more than half of them from the UK.
So far, Britain's fast approaching departure from the European Union has not changed the status of Corfu as a favourite holiday destination.
Some hotels are already almost fully booked, holiday home construction continues on the north-east coast known as Kensington-on-Sea, and businesses are showing little sign of concern.
Claire Harris, a hotel owner, says more Brits have booked in this year, compared to last year.

Married to a Greek national, Claire has lived in Corfu for 25 years. She's been to briefing sessions organised by consular officials to inform the roughly 10,000 British residents of Corfu on the different scenarios they could face on March 29. That's the day Britain is scheduled to leave the European Union.
"People were more concerned about taking their animals when they go back to the UK, whether they could take their animals, which seems strange to me. I'm more concerned about the future of my children who are both British and Greek," she says.
She admits to having some concern about the recognition of their Greek academic qualifications.
Local historian Alekos Damaskinos argues that bonds between Britain and the island are too strong to be seriously damaged by Brexit.
He says Corfu had a positive experience under British rule, unlike other Ionian islands, and adopted British traditions.
"One most important thing left from the British was the game of cricket, which in Greece I don't think they know what it means. And we had two teams to start with - but now, there are about 15."
Corfu Town's Spianada Square has its own cricket pitch and the game still thrives with teams from all over the Commonwealth coming to play at the numerous local clubs.
Corfu is also the birthplace of Prince Philip, the Duke of Edinburgh, who was born Prince of Greece and Denmark at Mon Repos villa, in the outskirts of Corfu Town. His son, Prince Charles, is a regular visitor.
"Well, he's not really Greek, no, although he was born here," says local historian Alekos Damaskinos.
There are other leftovers from British rule: Ginger beer, known here as 'tzitzibira,' and chutney remain popular. And most locals have played in or know a member of one of the island's 18 marching bands, inspired by British army bands.
Elsa Karydi is a member of the Philarmonic Society of Corfu.
"Well, the British know how to march and they do like a marching band, so that was the influence," she says.
At the British owned The Navigators pub, most of the clientele are Brits living at a private marina.
Linda Kontomares is the pub manager.
"I can't see that Brexit is going to affect us that much here," she says.
"The clientele that we get, it'll carry on and I don't think is going to affect us as a business."
But she says Brexit scaremongering has reached the island.
British citizens living in Corfu will need to get a residence permit and obtain a Greek driving license but there also are many unknowns.
"Until the 29th of March actually hits us and we know exactly what's going on - nobody has given 100 percent advice on how it's going to go," says Kontomares .
