సింగపూర్​ అంతర్జాతీయ వాణిజ్య న్యాయస్థానానికి జడ్జిగా సుప్రీం మాజీ న్యాయమూర్తి జస్టిస్​ సిక్రీ నియమితులయ్యారు. ఆగస్టు 1 నుంచి 2021 జనవరి 4 వరకు ఈ పదవిలో జస్టిస్​ సిక్రీ కొనసాగుతారు.

సుప్రీం కోర్టు మాజీ న్యాయమూర్తి జస్టిస్​ ఏకే సిక్రీకి అంతర్జాతీయ స్థాయిలో అరుదైన గౌరవం లభించింది. సింగపూర్​ అంతర్జాతీయ వాణిజ్య న్యాయస్థానం (ఎస్​ఐసీసీ)కి జడ్జిగా జస్టిస్​ సిక్రీ నియమితులయ్యారు. ఈ మేరకు సింగపూర్​ అధ్యక్షుడు నియామక ఉత్తర్వులు జారీ చేశారు.

ఈ ఏడాది ఆగస్టు 1న బాధ్యతలు స్వీకరించనున్నారు సిక్రీ. 2021 జనవరి 4తో ఆయన పదవీకాలం ముగుస్తుంది. సింగపూర్​ అత్యున్నత న్యాయస్థానానికి ఎస్​ఐసీసీ ఒక విభాగం. వాణిజ్య పరమైన వివాదాలను ఈ న్యాయస్థానం స్వీకరిస్తుంది. ఈ కోర్టులో అంతర్జాతీయ న్యాయమూర్తుల ప్యానెల్​లో 16 మంది ఉన్నారు.

సుప్రీం కోర్టు న్యాయమూర్తిగా ఈ ఏడాది మార్చి 6న పదవీ విరమణ చేశారు సిక్రీ. ఇటీవలే న్యూస్​ బ్రాడ్​క్యాస్టింగ్​ స్టాండర్స్​ అథారిటీకి ఛైర్మన్​గా సిక్రీని నియమించింది న్యూస్​ బ్రాడ్​క్యాస్టర్స్​ అసోసియేషన్​. పంజాబ్​, హరియాణా, దిల్లీ హైకోర్టుల్లో ప్రధాన న్యాయమూర్తిగా సేవలందించారు సిక్రీ.
