కడప జిల్లా ప్రొద్దుటూరులోని ఓ ప్రైవేటు పాఠశాలలో చేసుకున్నబాలిక అత్యాచార ఘటన ఆలస్యంగా వెలుగు చూసింది. గ్రామీణ ప్రాంతానికి చెందిన ఓ విద్యార్థిని వసతి గృహంలో ఉంటూ... చదువుకుంటోంది. అదే బడికి చెందిన పూర్వ విద్యార్థి... ఇప్పుడు చదువుతున్న మరో విద్యార్థితో కలిసి అత్యాచారానికిఒడిగట్టారు. పుస్తకం పేరుతో వసతిగృహానికి వచ్చినట్టు విద్యార్థులు చెబుతున్నారు. విషయం తెలుసుకున్న పాఠశాల యాజమాన్యం బయటికి చెప్పొద్దని విద్యార్థినిపై ఒత్తిడి తీసుకొచ్చారు. ఓ వైపు స్నేహితుల మోసం, మరోవైపు యాజమాన్యపు బెదిరింపులు తట్టుకోలేని ఆ బాధితురాలు...ఆత్మహత్యాయత్నం చేసింది. పాఠశాల మూడో అంతస్థు నుంచి దూకేసింది. ఈ విషయాన్ని దాచిన పాఠశాల యాజమాన్యం బాలిక కాలు జారి కిందపడిందని చెప్పింది. తొలుత కర్నూలు ఆసుపత్రిలో బాలికకు చికిత్స అందించారు. మెరుగైన వైద్యం కోసం తల్లిదండ్రులు ఆమెను ప్రొద్దుటూరు ఆసుపత్రికి తీసుకెళ్లగా అసలు విషయం బయటపడింది. వాళ్లు వెంటనే పోలీసులకు ఫిర్యాదు చేశారు. కేసు నమోదు చేసుకున్న పోలీసులు విచారణ చేపట్టారు.
బాలికపై అత్యాచారం
చదువుకోసం కన్నవారికి దూరంగా ఉంటూ వసతిగృహంలో ఉంటున్న విద్యార్థిని... తోటి విద్యార్థుల ఘాతుకానికి బలైంది. పుస్తకం పేరుతో గదిలోకి వచ్చిన సహచర విద్యార్థులు ఆ బాలికపై అత్యాచారానికి ఒడిగట్టారు. అది భరించలేని బాధితురాలు ఆత్మహత్యాయత్నం చేసింది. ప్రస్తుతం ఆసుపత్రిలో ప్రాణాల కోసం పోరాడుతోంది.

Supporters of the newly re-elected Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari celebrated his election win in Kano on Wednesday.
The crowd comprised mainly of young men from poverty-stricken neighbourhoods.
"I hope that God will help the president because he will repair Nigeria", said Ibrahim Garba, a Buhari's supporter.
Nigeria's President was declared the clear winner for a second term in Africa's largest democracy early Wednesday, after a campaign in which he urged voters to give him another chance to tackle gaping corruption, widespread insecurity and an economy limping back from a rare recession.
