STORYLINE:
LENNY KRAVITZ PLAYS 'TOP OF THE MOUNTAIN CLOSING CONCERT' IN ISCHGL
Lenny Kravitz ventured out of his comfort zone on Tuesday (30 APRIL 2019) to perform at the Austrian ski resort, Ischgl.
The concert, which took place 2,320 m above sea level, was held to mark the end of the ski season, which draws to a close on Wednesday.
Speaking the day before the performance, Kravitz said it's "probably the most different gig" he's ever played.
"I tend to like hot weather," he said. "I live in the Bahamas and it's what I'm used to. So I don't tend to go to cold places very often. But I love nature. I love the mountains. I love snow. So this is going to be very interesting.
Kravitz performed in front of an audience of 18,000 for the gig, which kicked off at 1 o'clock in the afternoon.
"It will also be the earliest concert I've ever given," he said. "I don't usually wake up until one o'clock but I'll be getting up at 6:00 a.m. tomorrow."
