Bathinda (Punjab), May 27 (ANI): While speaking to ANI, Air Marshal Raghunath Nambiar backed Army Chief General Bipin Rawat's statement that some radar can't see through clouds. He said that clouds do prevent radars from detecting accurately. "This is true up to some effect that very strong clouds and very strong convective conditions in clouds prevent radar from detecting very accurately," said Air Marshal Nambiar. Earlier PM Modi in an interview said that he took decision of conducting aerial strike during cloudy weather to evade radar's detection. Earlier, Air Marshal R Nambiar took part in the tribute ceremony for Squadron leader Ajay Ahuja. Army Chief Bipin Rawat had earlier defended PM Modi's remark by saying 'some radars can't see through clouds. PM Modi in an interview said he took decision to conduct Balakot aerial strike in bad weather to evade radar.
