STORYLINE:
Rolls-Royce is staking its claim to the 'bespoke' crown in Geneva.
At the annual Geneva Motor Show, the luxury British car maker debuted its new Phantom Tranquility. It's limited to just 25 models, all have already been sold.
Its interior is decorated in 24-karat gold.
A space exploration theme sees meteorite rock used to decorate the car's volume control.
It's taken from the Muonionalusta meteorite, which fell to earth in Kiruna, Sweden in 1906. That location and date is also engraved on the interior.
Rolls-Royce CEO Torsten Muller-Otvos gave no idea of pricing, but he did say 2018 set a business record - the greatest sales result in the brand's 115-year history.
"Look into the car and see the tasteful integration of wafer-thin shavings of the Muonionalusta meteor that fell to Earth in Sweden over 100 years ago," he says.
"And enjoy the highly reflective stainless steel 24-karat gold plating and space-grade aluminium elements in the car."
The annual Geneva International Motor Show opens to the public on 7 March and runs until 17 March 2019.
More than 900 models will be shown, including over 150 world and European premiers.
