STORYLINE:
Several Turkish armoured vehicles, including tanks, were seen entering rebel-controlled Syria in the early hours of Friday.
The entry of the convoy, at least the second in a week, follows an increase in fighting in the rebel zone and a rare clash between Turkish and Syrian government forces that killed at least 7 Turkish and 13 Syrian personnel.
Turkey maintains several observation posts in in the northwestern Idlib province to monitor a ceasefire that unravelled in recent weeks under Syria government attacks against rebel-held towns.
Some of the observations posts are now behind Syrian lines following recent advances by government forces, and Turkey has vowed to do everything to protect its troops.
