STORYLINE:
Felix Auger-Aliassime booked his place in the semi-finals of the Rio Open after beating Jaume Munar in straight sets on Friday.
The 18-year-old Canadian broke in world number 66 Munar's second service game for a 2-1 lead.
A run of four successive breaks followed from the fifth to eighth game of the opening set, but Auger-Aliassime held in the tenth to take it 6-4.
The world number 104 broke his Spanish opponent at the start of the second set and although Munar broke back to level at 3-3, he dropped his next two service games and Auger-Aliassime completed a 6-4, 6-3 victory.
Next up for the teen - in what will be his first semi-final in an ATP Tour 500 event - is a meeting with either Albert Ramos-Vinolas or Pablo Cuevas.
Regardless of the result, Auger-Aliassime will move up into the top 100 for the first time in his career on Monday.
