BCCIର ସର୍ବଭାରତୀୟ ସିନିୟର ଚୟନକର୍ତ୍ତା କମିଟି ବିରାଟ କୋହଲିଙ୍କୁ ଦିନିକିଆ(ODI) ଅଧିନାୟକ ପଦରୁ ହଟାଇବା ନିଷ୍ପତ୍ତି ନେଇଛି । ଭାରତୀୟ ଅଧିନାୟକ ଭାବେ ଦିନିକିଆ ଫର୍ମାଟରେ ବିରାଟ କୋହଲିଙ୍କ ଦମଦାର 72.65 ଆଭରେଜ ସହ ୫୦୦୦ରୁ ଅଧିକ ରନ୍ ରହିଛି । ଏଥିସହ ୯୫ଟି ମ୍ୟାଚ୍ରେ ୨୧ଟି ଶତକୀୟ ଇଂନିସ ମଧ୍ୟ ରହିଛି । ଫଳରେ ଏହି ଫର୍ମାଟରେ ବିରାଟଙ୍କ ନାମରେ ଅନ୍ୟତମ ସଫଳ ଭାରତୀୟ ଅଧିନାୟକ ରେକର୍ଡ ରହିଛି । ମାତ୍ର ବୁଧବାର ବିନା କୌଣସି କାରଣ ସ୍ପଷ୍ଟ କରି BCCI ଏହା ଘୋଷଣା କରିଛି ଯେ, ରୋହିତ ଶର୍ମା ଦିନିକିଆ ଓ ଟି-୨୦ ଫର୍ମାଟରେ ଭାରତୀୟ ଟିମର ନେତୃତ୍ବ ନେବେ ।
