मुंबई - भारताची दिग्गज महिला टेनिसपटू सानिया मिर्झाने भारताचा माजी कर्णधार महेंद्रसिंह धोनी विषयी एक मोठं वक्तव्य केले आहे. सानियाने धोनीची तुलना तिचा पती आणि पाकिस्तानचा अनुभवी खेळाडू शोएब मलिक याच्याशी केली आहे. सानियाच्या मते, धोनी आणि शोएब यांची पर्सनॅलिटी सेम आहे.
एका क्रीडा संकेतस्थळाशी बोलताना सानियाने सांगितले की, धोनीची इच्छा असल्यास त्याला निवृत्तीचा अखेरचा सामना खेळायला मिळाला हवा होता. पण, धोनीने अनपेक्षित निवृत्तीची घोषणा केली. यावरुन तो अन्य क्रिकेटपटूंपेक्षा नेमका कसा वेगळा आहे. हे दिसून येते. माझ्या मते, धोनी मोठा स्टार खेळाडू आहे. त्याने अचानक घेतलेला निवृत्तीचा निर्णय त्याला कूल बनवतो.
धोनीला पाहिले की मला माझ्या नवऱ्याची आठवण येते. कारण खासकरून धोनी आणि शोएबची पर्सनॅलिटी एक आहे. दोघेही मैदानात शांत राहतात. याशिवाय अनेक बाबीत धोनी शोएबप्रमाणेच आहे, असेही सानियाने सांगितले.
सानियाने याआधी धोनीच्या निवृत्तीवर एक ट्विट केले होते. त्यात तिने धोनीला शुभेच्छा दिल्या होत्या. दरम्यान, धोनीने १५ ऑगस्टला संध्याकाळी इस्टाग्रामवर एक व्हिडिओ शेअर करत आपली निवृत्ती जाहीर केली आणि संपूर्ण क्रिकेट विश्वाला एकच धक्का दिला.
