ടൊറന്‍റോ ഫിലിം ഫെസ്റ്റിവൽ ഈ വർഷം സെപ്റ്റംബറിൽ നടത്തുവാൻ സംഘാടകർ തീരുമാനിച്ചു. കാനഡയിൽ വർഷം തോറും നടത്തിവരുന്ന ടൊറന്‍റോ ചലച്ചിത്രമേള കൊവിഡ് മാനദണ്ഡങ്ങൾ പാലിച്ചാണ് സംഘടിപ്പിക്കുന്നത്. ടൊറന്‍റോ അന്താരാഷ്ട്ര ചലച്ചിത്രോത്സവം സെപ്റ്റംബര്‍ 10 മുതല്‍ 19 വരെയാണ് നടത്തുക. സാമൂഹിക അകലം പാലിച്ചുകൊണ്ട് സെപ്‌തംബർ പത്ത് മുതൽ പരിമിതമായ തിയേറ്റര്‍ സ്ക്രീനിംഗ് സംഘടിപ്പിക്കും. കൂടാതെ, മേളയുടെ പത്ത് ദിവസങ്ങളിൽ ഡിജിറ്റല്‍ സ്ക്രീനിംഗും സംവാദങ്ങളും മറ്റ് കലാപരിപാടികളും നടത്തുമെന്നും സംഘാടകർ വ്യക്തമാക്കി. ഡ്രൈവ് ഇന്‍ രീതിയിലുള്ള ഔട്ട്ഡോര്‍ പ്രദര്‍ശനങ്ങളും മേളയുടെ ഭാഗമാകും.

കഴിഞ്ഞ തവണത്തെ 300 സിനിമകളുടെ പ്രദർശനത്തിൽ നിന്ന് വ്യത്യസ്‌തമായി, കൊവിഡ് പ്രതിസന്ധി കണക്കിലെടുത്ത് 50 മുഴുനീള ചലച്ചിത്രങ്ങളും പരിമിതമായ ഹ്രസ്വ ചിത്രങ്ങളും മാത്രമാവും മേളയിൽ പ്രദർശിപ്പിക്കുക. സിനിമാ പ്രതിനിധികളുമായുള്ള ചർച്ചകൾ ഓണ്‍ലൈനായാണ് നടത്തുന്നത്. ടൊറന്‍റോ ചലച്ചിത്ര മേളയിലേക്കുള്ള അംഗത്വവും പ്രവേശന കൂപ്പണുകളെ സംബന്ധിച്ചുള്ള വിവരങ്ങളും പിന്നീട് അറിയിക്കുമെന്നും സംഘാർകർ വ്യക്തമാക്കി.
