ഐഎഫ്എഫ്ഐ സ്പെഷ്യല്‍ ഐക്കണ്‍ രജനീകാന്തിന്

ഫിലിം ഫെസ്റ്റിവലിന്‍റെ സുവര്‍ണ ജൂബിലി ആഘോഷങ്ങളുടെ ഭാഗമായാണ് പുരസ്കാരങ്ങള്‍ നല്‍കുന്നത്. കേന്ദ്രമന്ത്രി പ്രകാശ് ജാവദേക്കറണ് പുരസ്കാരങ്ങള്‍ പ്രഖ്യാപിച്ചത്

ഗോവ അന്താരാഷ്ട്ര ഫിലിം ഫെസ്റ്റിവല്‍ സ്പെഷ്യല്‍ ഐക്കണ്‍ പുരസ്കാരത്തിന് നടന്‍ രജനീകാന്ത് അര്‍ഹനായി. സിനിമ രംഗത്തെ സമഗ്ര സംഭാവനകള്‍ പരിഗണിച്ചാണ് പുരസ്കാരം. സിനിമയിലെ സമഗ്ര സംഭാവനക്ക് ഫ്രഞ്ച് നടി ഇസബെല്‍ ഹൂപെയും അര്‍ഹയായി. ഫിലിം ഫെസ്റ്റിവലിന്‍റെ അമ്പതാം വാര്‍ഷികാഘോഷങ്ങളുടെ ഭാഗമായാണ് പുരസ്കാരങ്ങള്‍ നല്‍കുന്നത്. ന്യൂഡല്‍ഹിയില്‍ വെച്ച് കേന്ദ്രമന്ത്രി പ്രകാശ് ജാവദേക്കറണ് പുരസ്കാരങ്ങള്‍ പ്രഖ്യാപിച്ചത്. ഈ മാസം 20 മുതല്‍ 28വരെ നടക്കുന്ന ഫിലിംഫെസ്റ്റിവലിന്‍റെ ഉദ്ഘാടന ചടങ്ങില്‍ വെച്ചാണ് പുരസ്കാരങ്ങള്‍ സമ്മാനിക്കുക.

'സമഗ്ര സംഭാവനയ്ക്കുള്ള സ്പെഷ്യല്‍ ഐക്കണ്‍ പുരസ്കാരം നടന്‍ രജനീകാന്തിനാണെന്ന് പ്രഖ്യാപിക്കാന്‍ സാധിച്ചതില്‍ അതിയായ സന്തോഷമുണ്ടെന്ന്' പ്രഖ്യാപനത്തിന് ശേഷം കേന്ദ്രമന്ത്രി പ്രകാശ് ജാവദേക്കര്‍ ട്വീറ്റ് ചെയ്തു. 'രാജ്യാന്തര ചലച്ചിത്രമേളയുടെ സുവര്‍ണജൂബിലി ആഘോഷവേളയില്‍ ഇത്തരമൊരു അവാര്‍ഡിന് തന്നെ തെരഞ്ഞെടുത്ത സര്‍ക്കാരിന് നന്ദി പറയുന്നുവെന്ന് നടന്‍ രജനീകാന്തും ട്വീറ്റ് ചെയ്തിട്ടുണ്ട്'.

2014ല്‍ ഐഎഫ്എഫ്ഐയുടെ ഫിലിം പേഴ്സണാലിറ്റി ഓഫ് ദി ഇയറിന് മുമ്പ് താരം അര്‍ഹനായിട്ടുണ്ട്. മേളയിലേക്ക് തമിഴ് ചിത്രങ്ങളായ ആര്‍.പാര്‍ഥിപന്‍റെ സംവിധാനത്തില്‍ പുറത്തിറങ്ങിയ ഒത്തസെരുപ്പും, ലക്ഷ്മി രാമകൃഷ്ണന്‍റെ ഹൗസ് ഓണറും തെരഞ്ഞെടുക്കപ്പെട്ടു.
