ചെന്നൈ: സൗജന്യ അരി വിതരണ പ്രശ്‌നത്തില്‍ പുതുച്ചേരി മുഖ്യമന്ത്രി വി.നാരായണ സ്വാമി സമർപ്പിച്ച റിട്ട് ഹർജി ഹൈക്കോടതി തള്ളി. സൗജന്യ അരിക്ക് പകരം പണം നൽകാനുള്ള ലഫ്.ഗവർണർ കിരൺബേദിയുടെ തീരുമാനത്തെ രാഷ്ട്രപതി രാം നാഥ് കോവിന്ദ് അംഗീകരിച്ചതോടെയാണ് ഹർജി ഹൈക്കോടതി തള്ളിയത്. നാരായണസ്വാമി സമർപ്പിച്ച ഹർജി പരിഗണിച്ച കോടതി കേന്ദ്രഭരണ പ്രദേശവുമായി ബന്ധപ്പെട്ട വിഷയങ്ങളിൽ രാഷ്ട്രപതിയുടെ തീരുമാനം പാലിക്കണമെന്ന് വ്യക്തമാക്കി.

മന്ത്രിസഭയുമായി യോജിക്കുന്നില്ലെങ്കിൽ രാഷ്ട്രപതിയെ സമീപിക്കാൻ ലഫ്റ്റനന്‍റ് ഗവർണർക്ക് 1963 ലെ കേന്ദ്രഭരണ വകുപ്പ് നിയമം അധികാരം നൽകുന്നുണ്ടെന്നും കോടതി വ്യക്തമാക്കി. സൗജന്യ അരി വിതരണവുമായി ബന്ധപ്പട്ട അഭിപ്രായ വ്യത്യാസത്തെത്തുടര്‍ന്ന് നാരായണസ്വാമിയും ലഫ്.ഗവർണർ കിരൺ ബേദിയും തമ്മിലുണ്ടായ തർക്കത്തെത്തുടർന്നാണ് നാരായണസ്വാമി ഹൈക്കോടതിയിൽ ഹർജി നൽകിയത്.
