ಕಾಲೇಜು ಮೆಟ್ಟಿಲೇರಿದ 62 ವರ್ಷದ ನಿವೃತ್ತ ಸೈನಿಕ..! ಹೆಮ್ಮೆಯ ಪುತ್ರನ ಉತ್ಸಾಹಕ್ಕೆ ಸಲಾಂ

ಬರೋಬ್ಬರಿ 30 ವರ್ಷಗಳ ಕಾಲ ಸೇನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸೇವೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿ ಗ್ರಾಮಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದ 62 ವರ್ಷದ ಸೈನಿಕರೊಬ್ಬರು ಈಗ ಕಾಲೇಜು ಮೆಟ್ಟಿಲು ಹತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಕಲಿಯಬೇಕು ಎಂಬ ಅವರ ತುಡಿತ ನೋಡಿದ ಸ್ಥಳೀಯರು ಹೆಮ್ಮೆಯ ಜೊತೆಗೆ ಆಚ್ಚರಿ ಸಹ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಪಡಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

ಪುದುಚೇರಿ: ಜ್ಞಾನವನ್ನು ಸಂಪಾದಿಸಬೇಕು ಎಂಬ ತುಡಿತ ಹೊಂದಿದ್ದ 62 ವರ್ಷದ ಸುಬೇದಾರ್ ಮೇಜರ್ ಕೆ ಪರಮಶಿವಂ ಎಂಬ ನಿವೃತ್ತ ಸೈನಿಕರೊಬ್ಬರು ಈಗ ಕಾಲೇಜು ಮೆಟ್ಟಿಲು ಹತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಇಲ್ಲಿನ ಮೋತಿಲಾಲ್ ನೆಹರು ಸರ್ಕಾರಿ ಪಾಲಿಟೆಕ್ನಿಕ್ ಕಾಲೇಜಿನಲ್ಲಿ ತಾಂತ್ರಿಕ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಪಡೆಯಲು ಹೆಸರು ನೋಂದಾಯಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

ಬಡತನದ ಮಧ್ಯ ತಮ್ಮ ಬಾಲ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಮೂಲ್ಯವಾದ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣವನ್ನು ಪಡೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳಲಾಗಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಕುಟುಂಬದ ಆರ್ಥಿಕ ಪರಿಸ್ಥಿತಿಯಿಂದಾಗಿ ನಾನು ಶಿಕ್ಷಣವನ್ನು ಮುಂದುವರಿಸಲು ಸಾಧ್ಯವಾಗಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಪ್ರಾಥಮಿಕ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಪಡೆದ ಬಳಿಕ ನೇರವಾಗಿ ನಾನು ಸೇನೆಗೆ ಸೇರಿಕೊಂಡೆ. ಅದು ಅಂದು ನನಗೆ ಅನಿವಾರ್ಯವಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಈಗ ತೃಪ್ತಿಯ ಜೊತೆಗೆ ಇನ್ನೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಪಡೆಯಬೇಕೆಂಬ ಮಹಾದಾಸೆ ಮೂಡಿದೆ.

ಸೇನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಾನು 30 ವರ್ಷಗಳ ಕಾಲ ಸೇವೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿ ಈಗ ಗ್ರಾಮಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದಿದ್ದೇನೆ. ಅಕ್ಷರದ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಇದ್ದ ಒಲವು ಈಗ ಇಲ್ಲಿ ತಂದು ನಿಲ್ಲಿಸಿದೆ. ತಾನು ತಾಂತ್ರಿಕ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣವನ್ನು ಪಡೆಯಲು ಇಚ್ಚಿಸಿರುವುದಾಗಿ ಹೇಳಿದಾಗ ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿ ಹೆಮ್ಮೆ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಪಡಿಸಿದರು. ಈಗ ಹಾಕಿರುವ ನನ್ನ ಅರ್ಜಿಯನ್ನು ಪರಿಗಣಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಎಂದು ತಮಗಿರುವ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣದ ಬಗೆಗಿನ ಉತ್ಸಾಹ ಬಿಚ್ಚಿಟ್ಟಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
