मुंबईः कई अंदाजों और रिपोर्ट्स के बाद, फिल्म निर्माता शूजित सिरकार और उनके लीड एक्टर्स आयुष्मान खुराना और अमिताभ बच्चन ने कंफर्म किया है कि उनकी आने वाली कॉमेडी-ड्रामा फिल्म 'गुलाबो सिताबो' सीधे ओटीटी स्ट्रीमिंग प्लेटफॉर्म पर रिलीज होने जा रही है.
क्विर्की-कॉमेडी फिल्म को 'पीकू' फेम जूही चतुर्वेदी ने लिखा है. यह 12 जून को अमेजन प्राइम वीडियो पर स्ट्रीम होगी.

बिग बी ने फिल्म के बारे में कहा, 'गुलाबो सिताबो जिंदगी की झलकियां हैं, एक कहानी जो परिवारों को जरूर देखनी चाहिए.'

आयुष्मान ने बताया कि 'गुलाबो सिताबो' उनके लिए बेहद खास फिल्म है, क्योंकि इसके जरिए वह अपने डेब्यू डायरेक्टर शूजित के साथ दोबारा काम कर पाए और मिस्टर बच्चन के साथ स्क्रीन शेयर करने का उनके बचपन का सपना भी पूरा हुआ.
'गुलाबो सिताबो' इसी साल के अंत में थिएटर में रिलीज होने के लिए तैयार थी, लेकिन कोविड-19 महामारी की वजह से इस पर बुरा प्रभाव पड़ा.

डिजिटल रिलीज की वजह से करीब 200 देशों की अलग-अलग जगहों पर लोग 'गुलाबो सिताबो' को देख पाएंगे.
