ఫ్రెంచ్ ఓపెన్ మహిళల సింగిల్స్లో టైటిల్ను ఆసీస్ ప్లేయర్ ఆష్లీ బార్టీ సొంతం చేసుకుంది. ఫైనల్లో చెక్ క్రీడాకారిణీ వొంద్రుసోవాపై విజయం సాధించింది. 46 ఏళ్ల తర్వాత ఆస్ట్రేలియాకు ఫ్రెంచ్ టైటిల్ దక్కింది.

ఫ్రెంచ్ ఓపెన్ మహిళల సింగిల్స్ టైటిల్ను ఆస్ట్రేలియా క్రీడాకారిణి ఆష్లీ బార్టీ కైవసం చేసుకుంది. ఫైనల్లో చెక్ రిపబ్లిక్ ప్లేయర్ వొంద్రుసోవాపై విజయం సాధించింది. ఏకపక్షంగా సాగిన మ్యాచ్లో 6-1, 6-3 తేడాతో కేవలం 70 నిమిషాల్లోనే ఆట ముగించింది ఆసిస్ ప్లేయర్.

బార్డీకి ఇదే తొలి గ్రాండ్స్లామ్ టైటిల్. ప్రస్తుతం టెన్నిస్ ర్యాంకింగ్స్లో రెండో స్థానంలో ఉన్న బార్టీ... మ్యాచ్ ఆరంభం నుంచే వొంద్రుసోవాపై ఆధిపత్యం చెలాయించింది.
