రెండోసారి అధ్యక్ష పీఠంపై జోకో విడొడొ

రెండోసారి ఇండోనేషియా అధ్యక్షుడిగా ఎన్నికయ్యారు జోకో విడొడొ. ప్రత్యర్థి సుబుయాంటోపై విజయం సాధించారు. ఓట్ల లెక్కింపులో అవకతవకలు జరిగాయని ఆరోపించిన సుబుయాంటో... ఆందోళనలు చేపట్టనున్నట్టు ప్రకటించారు. ఈ నేపథ్యంలో దేశవ్యాప్తంగా భద్రతా దళాలను మోహరించారు అధికారులు.

ఇండోనేషియా అధ్యక్షుడిగా జోకో విడొడొకు ఆ దేశ ప్రజలు మరోసారి పట్టంగట్టారు. ఏప్రిల్​ నెలలో జరిగిన సార్వత్రిక ఎన్నికల్లో ప్రత్యర్థి ప్రొబోవో సుబుయాంటోపై విడొడొ విజయం సాధించారు. మూడో అతిపెద్ద ప్రజాస్వామ్య దేశమైన ఇండోనేషియాలోని 15.4 కోట్ల ఓటర్లలో... దాదాపు 8.56 కోట్ల మంది విడోడోకు ఓట్లు వేశారు. ఈ ఎన్నికల్లో రికార్డు స్థాయిలో 2 లక్షల 45 వేల మంది అభ్యర్థులు పోటీపడ్డారు.

సర్వత్రా ఉద్రిక్తతలు...

గత వారం డజనుకుపైగా అనుమానిత ఇస్లామిక్​ స్టేట్​ ఉగ్రవాదులను ఇండోనేషియా పోలీసులు అదుపులోకి తీసుకున్నారు.

ఓట్ల లెక్కింపులో అవతకతవకలు జరుగుతున్నాయని ఆరోపించిన సుబయాంటో తీవ్ర స్థాయి ఆందోళనలు చేపడతామని హెచ్చరించారు. ఉద్రిక్త వాతావరణం వల్ల బుధవారం వెలువడాల్సిన ఫలితాలను మంగళవారమే విడుదల చేసింది ఎన్నికల సంఘం. ఈ నేపథ్యంలో ఎలాంటి అవాంఛనీయ సంఘటనలు జరగకుండా అధికారులు చర్యలు చేపట్టారు.

రెండోసారి అధ్యక్షుడిగా ఎన్నికైన విడొడొను భారత ప్రధానమంత్రి నరేంద్ర మోదీ అభినందించారు. విడొడొ సారథ్యంలో ఇండోనేషియా ప్రజల అభివృద్ధిని ఆకాంక్షిస్తున్నట్టు ట్వీట్​ చేశారు.
