ఇండోనేషియా మలుకు రాష్ట్రం​ అంబన్​ నగరంలో భారీ భూకంపం సంభవించింది. భూకంప లేఖినిపై 6.5 తీవ్రత నమోదైంది. పలుచోట్ల భవనాలు కుప్పకూలాయి. భూకంపం ధాటికి ఓ వ్యక్తి ద్విచక్రవాహనంపై నుంచి పడి మరణించాడు.

ఇండోనేషియాను భూకంపం కుదిపేసింది. మలుకు రాష్ట్రం అంబన్​ నగరంలో భూకంపం ధాటికి పలు భవనాలు కుప్పకూలాయి. భూకంప లేఖినిపై తీవ్రత 6.5గా నమోదైంది. ప్రజలు భయంతో ఇళ్ల నుంచి బయటకు పరుగులు తీశారు.

భూకంపం ధాటికి ఓ వ్యక్తి ద్విచక్రవాహనంపై నుంచి పడి మరణించాడు. మరో వ్యక్తి ఆచూకీ గల్లంతైంది. అనేక మంది తీవ్రంగా గాయపడ్డారు. శిథిలాల కింద చాలా మంది చిక్కుకుపోయారు. వారిని కాపాడేందుకు సహాయ బృందాలు రంగంలోకి దిగాయి.

అంబన్​ నగరానికి ఈశాన్య దిశగా సుమారు 37 కిలోమీటర్ల దూరంలో 29 కిలోమీటర్ల లోతున భూకంపం కేంద్రీకృతమై ఉన్నట్లు అమెరికా జియోలాజికల్​ సర్వే తెలిపింది.

అంబన్ నగరంతోపాటు చుట్టు పక్కల ప్రాంతాల్లోనూ భూకంపం ప్రభావం చూపినట్లు విపత్తు నిర్వహణ అధికారులు తెలిపారు.

ITALY MELTING GLACIER - A fast-moving Italian glacier is melting quickly, threatening a picturesque valley near the Alpine town of Courmayeur and prompting the mayor to close down a mountain road.
