అంటార్కిటికాలో రికార్డు స్థాయిలో ఉష్ణోగ్రత

అంటార్కిటికాలో తీవ్రమైన వాతావరణ మార్పులు చోటుచేసుకుంటున్నాయని ప్రపంచ వాతావరణ సంస్థ తెలిపింది. గతంలో ఎన్నడూ లేనంతగా రికార్డు స్థాయిలో ఉష్ణోగ్రత నమోదైనట్లు పేర్కొంది.

అంటార్కిటికాలో వాతావరణం గణనీయంగా వేడెక్కుతోందని ప్రపంచ వాతావారణ సంస్థ(డబ్ల్యూఎంఓ) వెల్లడించింది. ఎప్పుడూ మంచుతో ఉండే ఈ ఖండంలో.. 2020 ఫిబ్రవరి 6న ఎన్నడూ లేని విధంగా రికార్డు స్థాయిలో 18.3 డిగ్రీల ఉష్ణోగ్రత నమోదైనట్లు పేర్కొంది.

గతంలో అర్జెంటినా ఎస్పెరంజా స్టేషన్​ ప్రాంతంలో అత్యధికంగా 17.5 డిగ్రీల ఉష్ణోగ్రత నమోదైనట్లు డబ్ల్యూఎంఓ తెలిపింది. వాతావరణ మార్పుల కారణంగా ఉష్ణోగ్రతలు తీవ్రంగా పెరిగినట్లు స్పష్టం చేసింది.
