హౌడీ మోదీ కార్యక్రమ వేదిక వద్దకు చేరుకున్న ప్రధాని నరేంద్రమోదీకి ఘన స్వాగతం లభించింది. భారత్-అమెరికా బంధానికి గుర్తుగా... హ్యూస్టన్ తాళాన్ని మోదీకి అందించారు నగర మేయర్ సిల్వస్టర్ టర్నర్.

ప్రపంచ ఇంధన రాజధానిగా చెప్పే హ్యూస్టన్ నగర తాళం... ప్రధాని నరేంద్రమోదీ చేతికి అందింది. ఆ నగర మేయర్ సిల్వస్టర్ టర్నర్ స్వయంగా హ్యూస్టన్ తాళాన్ని నరేంద్రుడికి అందజేశారు.

టెక్సాస్ హ్యూస్టన్లోని ఎన్ఆర్జీ స్టేడియంలో జరుగుతున్న హౌడీ మోదీ కార్యక్రమానికి అమెరికా కాంగ్రెస్ చట్టసభ్యులతోపాటు నగర మేయర్ ప్రత్యేక అతిథులుగా హాజరయ్యారు.

మోదీకి హ్యూస్టన్ నగర ప్రజల తరఫున టర్నర్ సాదర స్వాగతం పలికారు. ఇంధన రంగంలో కలిసి పనిచేయడానికి ఉన్న అవకాశాల్ని అందిపుచ్చుకోవాలని సూచిస్తూ... ఇలా తాళాన్ని మోదీ చేతికి అందించారు.

"హ్యూస్టన్లో మేము 140కిపైగా భాషల్లో హౌడీ అంటాము. ఇప్పుడు మోదీతో హౌడీ అని చెబుతున్నాము."

"Yes, even if for the World's Cup in France we increased 15 millions to 50 millions, the money that was paid to the participating teams there is still a gap that is too big compared to the men's game. This is obviously, as well, linked to the difference in revenues which is huge. But is also huge because of our responsibility. It's our fault that we did commercialize and market the women's games in an appropriate way."

STORYLINE:
FIFA president Gianni Infantino hailed football governing body's celerity in approving the expansion of the Women's World Cup from 24 to 32 teams from the next edition of the tournament in 2023.
Speaking at a FIFA conference on the 2019 Women's World Cup on Sunday on the eve of the Best FIFA Awards ceremony, Infantino also said one billion US dollars will be invested in women's football over the next four years.
The FIFA president addressed the issue of the financial gap between men's and women's football, saying FIFA in the past failed to "commercialize and market the women's games in an appropriate way."
