విలీనానికి వ్యతిరేకంగా బ్యాంకు ఉద్యోగుల సమ్మె !

పది ప్రభుత్వ రంగ బ్యాంకులను నాలుగు బ్యాంకులుగా విలీనం చేయాలన్న ప్రతిపాదనకు నిరసనగా పలు బ్యాంకింగ్ సంఘాలు విధుల బహిష్కరణకు సిద్ధమయ్యాయి. ఈ నెల 26, 27 తేదీల్లో సమ్మె చేయనున్నట్లు నాలుగు ప్రధాన బ్యాంకింగ్ సంస్థలు నోటీసులిచ్చాయి.

ప్రభుత్వ రంగ బ్యాంకుల విలీనానికి నిరసనగా నాలుగు బ్యాంకింగ్ సంఘాలు రెండు రోజులు విధులు బహిష్కరించనున్నట్టు ప్రకటించాయి. సెప్టెంబర్ 26 నుంచి 27 వరకు సమ్మె కొనసాగుతుందని బ్యాంకింగ్ సంఘాలు తెలిపాయి. ఈ మేరకు ఆల్ ఇండియా బ్యాంక్ ఆఫీసర్స్ కాన్ఫెడరేషన్, ఆల్ ఇండియా బ్యాంక్ ఆఫీసర్స్ అసోసియేషన్ , ఇండియన్ నేషనల్ బ్యాంక్ ఆఫీసర్స్ కాంగ్రెస్, నేషనల్ ఆర్గనైజేషన్ ఆఫ్ బ్యాంక్ ఆఫీసర్స్ సంఘాలు సమ్మె నోటీసులిచ్చాయి.

ఈ డిమాడ్లపై కేంద్రం స్పందించకపోతే నవంబర్ రెండవ వారం నుంచి దేశంలోని అన్ని ప్రభుత్వరంగ బ్యాంకులు నిరవధిక సమ్మెకు దిగుతాయని ఉద్యోగ సంఘాలు హెచ్చరించాయి.

"The civilian exchanges between Taiwan and Hong Kong are very normal. The Taiwan Affairs Office does not have any reason to act in an anti-democratic and democracy-fearing way, which is against mainstream thinking. This is in no way helping in cross-channel relations and the situation in Hong Kong, and China will become a joke of the international society."

STORYLINE:
Taiwanese officials condemned China on Thursday for detaining a Taiwanese man who reportedly sent back photos of Chinese paramilitary police massing equipment near the Hong Kong border last month.
Taiwanese businessman Lee Meng-chu is under investigation on suspicion of engaging in criminal activity harmful to national security, according to Beijing authorities.
Speaking in a news conference in Taipei, Taiwan's Mainland Affairs Council Deputy Minister Chiu Chui-cheng said China had "no limit in abusing its power in the name of national security."
Chiu accused Beijing of lacking the concept of human rights and the rule of law.
He condemned what he called China's "evil acts" and said Beijing risked becoming a "joke" in the eyes of the international community.
Lee went missing on August 20 after he sent photos of the paramilitary police to the mayor of Fangliao, a small fishing community in southern Taiwan.
Lee was a volunteer consultant for Fangliao township to help promote its international affairs and often travelled to the mainland.
Taiwan's authorities called on China to explain the details of Lee's case and ensure his legal rights.
