ఐఎన్ఎక్స్ మీడియా కేసులో కాంగ్రెస్ నేత చిదంబరాన్ని సీబీఐ అధికారులు దాదాపు 3 గంటలపాటు విచారించారు. అయితే ఆయన కొన్ని ప్రశ్నలకు ముక్తసరిగా సమాధానాలు చెప్పడం లేదా మౌనం వహించారని... విచారణకు సహకరించలేదని సీబీఐ వర్గాలు వెల్లడించాయి. ప్రస్తుతం ఆయనను సీబీఐ ప్రత్యేక న్యాయస్థానంలో హాజరుపరిచారు.

ఐఎన్ఎక్స్ మీడియా కేసులో అరెస్ట్ చేసిన కేంద్ర మాజీ మంత్రి చిదంబరంను సీబీఐ అధికారులు దాదాపు 3 గంటలపాటు విచారించారు. చిదంబరం అధికారుల ప్రశ్నలకు ముక్తసరి సమాధానాలు చెప్పడం లేదా మౌనం వహించారని... విచారణకు సహకరించలేదని సీబీఐ వర్గాలు వెల్లడించాయి.

"Oh, my belly button? I was very proud of it. Of course, it was a fine thing. Actually, it started out as a joke. I'm trying to remember his name now. The Hollywood Reporter. Do you know his name? Do you remember? Well, a reporter from The Hollywood Reporter would come down on the set and he'd say, 'I don't believe you have one.' And I'd say, 'What? What do you mean one?' 'A belly button. You don't have a belly button.' I said, 'Nickel a peek,' you know. And we joked back and forth, back and forth and he wrote about it a lot. And then the stringers across the country picked up on it. And, pretty soon, that's all anyone was talking about: I didn't have a head, I had a belly button, you know. But it was great, it was fun."

"He was very sweet. He was crazy, of course. Everybody knows Larry was crazy. I think one of the stories not a lot of people know is that, before he was cast in the film, Sidney Sheldon called me and said, 'Will you please work with this actor? He's really good. We're very interested in him.' And I said, 'Certainly I will.' And he said, 'Well, but I'm working at the time. I was at Universal doing I don't remember what. And so Larry came to see me in the dressing room and we did a scene from 'Jeannie.' And, of course, I played it totally, and threw my arms around his head and said, 'Oh, Master,' you know, and all that - scared him to death. Scared him to death. And I didn't know that. Later, he told me, he said, 'Barbara, I didn't know what I was getting into with you.'"

Tony Randall, Paul Newman. 'Oh, she was with so-and-so,' you know. But now they knew me for myself and I like that. I love it."

STORYLINE:
ACTRESS BARBARA EDEN SHARES STORIES OF BELLY BUTTONS AND BOTTLES AT 'JEANNIE' EXHIBIT OPENING
Actress Barbara Eden was honored Wednesday (21 AUG 2019) in Los Angeles as friends and colleagues gathered at the Hollywood Museum for the opening of an exhibit of items from her best-known project, the sitcom "I Dream of Jeannie."
The exhibit features Eden's iconic pink genie costume, standees and publicity stills. But for Eden, who turns 88 Friday, the bottle on display is the star attraction.
While there were several prop bottles, this is one that Eden rescued from the set of "Jeannie" shortly before the series was canceled in 1970. Eden had it at her home until the 1994 Northridge earthquake, when it fell of a shelf, but was not damaged. She said it's been stored in a bank until now.
"This bottle is special because it was the smoke bottle and they would put the little pellets in it to make the smoke come out," Eden added. "It isn't as pretty as a lot of the others because it's been around the block, you know. But I love it dearly."
Eden shared stories of the bottle, the controversy over her navel-revealing costume and of her co-star, the late Larry Hagman, whom she remembered fondly.
"He was very sweet," Eden said. "He was crazy, of course. Everybody knows Larry was crazy."
Eden enjoyed stage and screen success before and after "Jeannie," but fifty years after it left primetime, the series remains her calling card.
"Having the opportunity to be in 'Jeannie' really defined me for the public," she explained. "They knew who I was. Before, they knew me for being with Elvis Presley or Pat Boone or Tony Randall, Paul Newman. 'Oh, she was with so-and-so.' But now they knew me for myself, and I like that. I love it."
