STORYLINE:
CELEB LIST WOMEN WHO INSPIRE THEM IN HONOR OF INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S DAY
International Women's Day is Friday, March 8. It's a day where women are recognized for their achievements across the globe.
A number of celebs are sharing which women inspire them and why.
For Chris Pratt, it's about the women who keep his career moving smoothly.
"Oh, man. Well, both of my managers I've had. Bonnie Owens, the late, she's now passed away, may she rest in peace. She started my career. And my current manager now, Julie Darmody. My life is run by amazing women including my publicist Allison Garman, who is just to my left right now, whose had to put up with so much crap with me. She's just one of the many women in my life who run my life and make me who I am so there's two."
Ben Medelsohn said it's all about the women in his family.
"You're gonna make me get all emotional with this. My mother, my grandmother, both of whom aren't here but who are very much in here and in here," as he pointed to his head and heart.
"Look, I am surrounded by great women. It would be hard for me to overstate the importance of the women that are in my life and the women that have been in my life. They're kind of everything, you know?"
Clark Gregg also says he admired his wife actress Jennifer Grey.
"I think none more than my wife Jennifer Grey who partnering and raising a teenage daughter now with her and watching the example that she sets for her and the way that she confronts things that she's afraid of and conquers on a daily basis is one of the most inspiring things I've ever seen."
Oscar winner Julianne Moore said she is inspired by women "who do their own thing, you know? People who really, who are working on things, who have a singular voice and are out there doing their own thing."
Examples of those women she says are writers Maggie Nelson and Deborah Eisenberg and global superstar, Beyonce.
Kelsea Ballerini wants to give credit to the females who have both influenced her own music and encouraged her along the way.
"One of my favorite parts of my journey so far has been women that I grew up listening to and dancing around my room to and just studying, taking the time to like turn around and reach out their hand to me and that's been Shania (Twain), she's been a wonderful mentor to me and invited me to sing with her and sit on the couch with me and talk me through stuff and Taylor (Swift) obviously has been a big one for me. Just having women that I learned from and that I listened to that became like the soundtrack of my youth turn around and take the time to teach me and help me and listen to me, just having people listen. That has been one of the most beautiful parts of my journey so far."
Morena Baccarin says the first woman who comes to mind is former U.S. first lady Michelle Obama because she recently read her book "Becoming."
"She is someone I wholeheartedly have learned from both as a mother and as a strong female empower."
