குடியுரிமை திருத்தச் சட்டத்துக்கு எதிராக அமித் ஷாவை கேள்வி எழுப்பிய சித்தார்த், மோடிக்கு நெருக்கமானவர்களால் மிரட்டப்படுவதாக தெரிவித்துள்ளார். யார் அகதி, யார் இந்தியர் என்பதை மதத்தை வைத்துதான் முடிவு செய்வீர்களா என அமித் ஷாவிடம் கேள்வி எழுப்பியிருந்தார், சித்தார்த். இது தொடர்பாக தான் மிரட்டப்படுவதாக தற்போது தெரிவித்துள்ளார்.
இதுகுறித்து அவர், ' பிரதமர் நரேந்திர மோடியை பின்தொடர்பவர்கள் மூலமாக எனக்கும், நான் நேசிப்பவர்களுக்கும் ட்விட்டரில் மிரட்டல் விடுக்கப்படுகிறது. சுதந்திர நாட்டில் எங்கள் மனதில் இருப்பதை பேச விரும்புகிறோம். அசிங்கமான வார்த்தைகளும், கடுமையான சட்டங்களும் எங்கள் எதிர்ப்புக் குரலைத் தடுக்க முடியாது ' எனப் பதிவிட்டுள்ளார்.
