வாஷிங்டன்: மைக்ரோசாஃப்ட் இணை நிறுவனர் பில்கேட்ஸ் கரோனா தடுப்பூசியின் முதல் டோஸை போட்டு கொண்டார்.

கரோனா தடுப்பூசி குறித்து தொடர்ந்து விழிப்புணர்வு செய்து வந்தவர் மைக்ரோசாஃப்ட் இணை நிறுவனர் பில் கேட்ஸ். கரோனா வைரஸ் நோயை ஆய்வகத்தில் உருவாக்கியவர் பில் கேட்ஸ் என தொடர்ந்து சர்ச்சை கருத்துகள் பரப்பப்பட்டுவந்தது. தன் மீது வைக்கப்பட்டுள்ள குற்றச்சாட்டுகள் வினோதமாக இருக்கிறது என பில் கேட்ஸ் தெரிவித்திருந்தார்.

கரோனா பரிசோதனை, சிகிச்சை, தடுப்பூசி ஆகிய ஆய்வுகளை மேற்கொள்வதற்கு கூடுதலாக 250 மில்லியன் அமெரிக்க டாலர்கள் வழங்கப்படுவதாக பில் மற்றும் மெலிண்டா கேட்ஸ் அறக்கட்டளை கடந்த டிசம்பர் மாதம் அறிவிப்பு வெளியிட்டிருந்தது. கரோனாவுக்கு எதிரான போரில் இதுவரை பில்கேட்ஸ் அறக்கட்டளை 1.75 பில்லியன் அமெரிக்க டாலர்களை வழங்கியுள்ளது.
