சத்தீஸ்கர்: காங்கர் மாவட்டம், சிக்சோட் பகுதியில் மாவோயிஸ்டுகள் பதுங்கி இருப்பதாக பாதுகாப்புப் படையினக்குக் கிடைத்த தகவலின் அடிப்படையில், மாவட்ட ரிசர்வ் காவலர்கள் மற்றும் பாதுகாப்புப்படை சார்பாக குழுக்கள் அமைக்கப்பட்டு சிக்சோட் பகுதி சுற்றிவளைக்கப்பட்டது.
இந்நிலையில், அங்கு பாதுகாப்புப்படையினருக்கும் மாவோயிஸ்டுகளுக்கும் இடையே மோதல் ஏற்பட்டது. அப்போது, மாவோயிஸ்டுகள் பாதுகாப்புப்படையினர் மீது துப்பாக்கிச்சூடு நடத்தினர். இதற்குப் பாதுகாப்பு படையினர் பதில் தாக்குதல் நடத்தினர்.

இதில், இரண்டு மாவோயிஸ்டுகள் சுட்டுக் கொல்லப்பட்டனர். கொல்லப்பட்ட இருவரின் அடையாளமும் கண்டறியப்படவில்லை என அலுவலர்கள் தெரிவித்தனர். தொடர்ந்து அப்பகுதியில் தேடுதல் வேட்டை நடந்து வருவதாகவும் கூறினர்.
இந்த துப்பாக்கிச்சூடு அதிகாலை 4 மணியளவில் நடந்தது. தலைநகர் ராய்ப்பூரில் இருந்து 150 கி.மீ. தொலைவில் இந்த துப்பாக்கிச்சூடு நடந்ததாக கூறப்படுகிறது.
