लंडन : लंडनमधील ओव्हल मैदानावर रविवारी खेळल्या गेलेल्या वर्ल्ड टेस्ट चॅम्पियनशिप 2023 फायनलच्या 5 व्या दिवशी ऑस्ट्रेलियाने भारताचा 209 धावांनी दारूण पराभव केला. या विजयासह ऑस्ट्रेलिया संघ सर्व ICC ट्रॉफी जिंकणारा पहिला संघ बनला आहे. फायनलमध्ये भारताचा दुसरा डाव केवळ 234 धावांवर आटोपला. सामन्यानंतर कर्णधार रोहित शर्माने निराश दिसला. त्याने या पराभवासाठी फलंदाजांना जबाबदार धरले आहे. वर्ल्ड टेस्ट चॅम्पियनशिपच्या फायनलमध्ये टीम इंडियाचा हा सलग दुसरा पराभव आहे. यापूर्वी 2021 मध्ये भारताला न्यूझीलंडकडून पराभव पत्करावा लागला होता.

भारताचे फलंदाज अपयशी : ऑस्ट्रेलियाने पहिल्या डावात 469 धावा केल्या होत्या. तर भारतीय संघ केवळ 296 धावांपर्यंतच मजल मारू शकला. त्यानंतर ऑस्ट्रेलियाने आपला दुसरा डाव 8 बाद 270 धावांवर घोषित केला आणि भारतासमोर 444 धावांचे मोठे लक्ष्य ठेवले. मात्र भारताचा दुसरा डाव अवघ्या 234 धावांवर आटोपला आणि ऑस्ट्रेलिया प्रथमच जागतिक कसोटी चॅम्पियनशिपचा विजेता ठरला. क्रिकेटच्या प्रत्येक फॉरमॅटमध्ये विश्वचषक जिंकणारा ऑस्ट्रेलिया हा पहिला संघ आहे.

आघाडीचे फलंदाज चुकीचा शॉट खेळून बाद : पहिल्या दिवशी ऑस्ट्रेलियन फलंदाजांनी ज्या पद्धतीने फलंदाजी केली, त्यावरून या सामन्यात ते फ्रंटफूटवर असल्याचे निश्चित झाले होते. त्यानंतर त्यांच्या गोलंदाजांनीही अप्रतिम कामगिरी करत भारतीय फलंदाजांना फारशी संधी दिली नाही. मात्र, दुसऱ्या आणि तिसऱ्या दिवशी भारतीय संघाने प्रतिकार करण्याचा प्रयत्न केला. मात्र तो पुरेसा ठरू शकला नाही. दुसऱ्या डावात भारताची चांगली सुरुवात झाली होती. आघाडीच्या चार फलंदाजांनी आपल्या डावाची सकारात्मक सुरुवात केली. पण रोहित, कोहली, पुजारा, रहाणे या सर्वांनी चुकीचा शॉट निवडला, ज्याची किंमत संघाला मोजावी लागली.

ट्रॅव्हिस हेड सामनावीर : ऑस्ट्रेलियाकडून ऑफस्पिनर नॅथन लायनने 41 धावांत 4 आणि स्कॉट बोलंडने 46 धावांत 3 बळी घेतले. पहिल्या डावात शानदार 163 धावा केल्याबद्दल ऑस्ट्रेलियाच्या ट्रॅव्हिस हेडला सामनावीराचा पुरस्कार मिळाला. आज भारताकडून विराट कोहली 49, अजिंक्य रहाणे 46, श्रीकर भरत 23 धावा करून बाद झाले. तर मोहम्मद शमी 13 धावांवर नाबाद राहिला. सामन्यात चौथ्या दिवशी भारताने तीन विकेट गमावत 164 धावा केल्या होत्या.
