एअर इंडियाचे खासगीकरण मार्गी; बोलीसाठी आराखडा मंजूर

इच्छुकांची बोली मागविण्याचा आराखडा आणि एअर इंडियाच्या शेअरची किंमत जानेवारीमध्ये जारी करण्यात येणार आहे. ही माहिती केंद्र सरकारमधील वरिष्ठ अधिकाऱ्याने दिली आहे.

नवी दिल्ली - सरकारी कंपनी एअर इंडियांचे खासगीकरण करण्याचा मार्ग अखेर मोकळा झाला आहे. केंद्रीय मंत्रीस्तरीय गटाचे अध्यक्ष केंद्रीय गृहमंत्री अमित शाह यांनी एअर इंडियाचे खासगीकरण करण्यासाठी इच्छुकांची बोली मागविण्याकरता (एक्सप्रेशन ऑफ इंटरेस्ट) आराखडा मंजूर केला आहे.

इच्छुकांची बोली मागविण्याचा आराखडा आणि एअर इंडियाच्या शेअरची किंमत जानेवारीमध्ये जारी करण्यात येणार आहे. ही माहिती केंद्र सरकारमधील वरिष्ठ अधिकाऱ्याने दिली आहे. यापूर्वी मंत्रिगटाची बैठक ही सप्टेंबर २०१९ मध्ये पार पडली होती.

गतवर्षी एअर इंडिया स्पेसिफिक अल्टरटेनिव्ह मेकॅनॅझिम (एआयएसएएम) मंजूर करण्यात आली. तर केंद्र सरकारने एअर इंडिया आणि एअर इंडिया एक्सप्रेसमधील १०० टक्के शेअर विकण्याचा निर्णय घेतला आहे.

Himalayan vultures are susceptible to toxicity induced by diclofenac, a drug whose residues in domestic animal carcasses has led to rapid decline in population of other Gyps vultures across Asia.

Diclofenac is a widely available veterinary drug in South Asia, where it is used to treat domestic livestock. Vultures are exposed to the drug, when they consume carcasses of animals that were treated with diclofenac shortly before death.

As a result, the drug Diclofinac reduced the number of vultures and their species was on the verge of extinction.

International Union for Conservation of Nature is added himalayan vulture in extinct species list

This is a huge vulture and is perhaps the largest and heaviest bird found in the Himalayas. Adults have a ruff that is long and pale brown with white streaks. The ruff feathers are long and spiky. The head is covered in down which is yellowish in adults but whitish in immature vultures. The underside and under-wing coverts are quite pale brown or buff, being almost white in some specimens.

The legs are covered with buffy feathers and the feet can vary from greenish grey to white. The upperside is unstreaked, pale buff with the tail quills, outer greater coverts and wing quills being a contrasting dark brown. The inner-secondaries have paler tips.
