नवी दिल्ली : 2020 वर्षासाठी जाहीर झालेल्या पद्म पुरस्कारांचे वितरण राष्ट्रपती रामनाथ कोविंद यांच्या हस्ते राजधानी नवी दिल्ली येथे करण्यात आले. दिवंगत माजी परराष्ट्र मंत्री सुषमा स्वराज यांना मरणोपरांत पद्मविभूषण पुरस्कार प्रदान करण्यात आला. तर बॅडमिंटनपटू पी व्ही सिंधू, अभिनेत्री कंगना रणौतचाही पद्म पुरस्काराने यावेळी गौरव करण्यात आला.

दिवंगत माजी परराष्ट्र मंत्री सुषमा स्वराज यांना मरणोपरांत पद्मविभूषण पुरस्कार प्रदान करण्यात आला. त्यांच्या कन्या बांसुरी स्वराज यांनी हा पुरस्कार स्वीकारला. तसेच गायक पंडित छन्नुलाल मिश्रा यांना पद्म विभूषण पुरस्कार प्रदान करण्यात आला. बॅडमिंटनपटू पी व्ही सिंधूला पद्मभूषण पुरस्कार प्रदान करण्यात आला.

याशिवाय एअर मार्शल डॉ. पद्म बंडोपाध्याय यांना वैद्यकीय क्षेत्रासाठी पद्मश्री पुरस्कार प्रदान करण्यात आला. गायक अदनान सामी, अभिनेत्री कंगना रणौत, भारतीय महिला हॉकी संघाच्या कर्णधार राणी रामपाल यांचा पद्मश्री पुरस्काराने गौरव करण्यात आला.
गोव्याचे दिवंगत माजी मुख्यमंत्री मनोहर पर्रिकर यांना मरणोपरांत पद्मभूषण पुरस्काराने गौरविण्यात आले. त्यांचे पुत्र उत्पल पर्रिकर यांनी हा पुरस्कार स्वीकारला.

एकूण सात पद्म विभूषण, 10 पद्म भूषण आणि 102 पद्मश्री पुरस्कार प्रदान करण्यात आले. पद्म पुरस्कार मिळणाऱ्यांमध्ये 29 महिला तसेच एका ट्रान्सजेंडर विजेत्याचा समावेश आहे. 16 जणांना मरणोपरांत पद्म पुरस्काराने गौरविण्यात आले. पंतप्रधान नरेंद्र मोदी, गृहमंत्री अमित शाह यांच्यासह अनेक मान्यवर या सोहळ्याला उपस्थित होते.
