तांगधार येथे दहशतवाद्यांना रोखणाऱ्या भारतीय सैन्यावर पाकिस्तानी सैन्याने काल (शनिवार) हल्ला केला होता. पाकिस्तानने केलेल्या या शस्त्रसंधीला प्रत्युत्तर देत, भारताने पाकव्याप्त काश्मीरमधील दहशतवादी तळांवर तोफांचे हल्ले केले होते. यामध्ये पाकिस्तानचे सहा ते दहा सैनिक, तेवढेच दहशतवादी ठार झाल्याची माहिती मिळत आहे. यासोबतच, दहशतवाद्यांचे तीन तळदेखील उद्ध्वस्त झाल्याची माहिती भारतीय लष्करप्रमुख बिपिन रावत यांनी दिली.

जेव्हापासून जम्मू आणि काश्मीरमधील कलम ३७० हटवले गेले आहे, तेव्हापासून पाकिस्तानच्या कुरापती वाढतच चालल्या होत्या. भारत-पाक सीमेवर पाकिस्तान वारंवार शस्त्रसंधीचे उल्लंघन करत होता. त्यातच, बालाकोटमधील दहशतवादी तळदेखील पुन्हा सक्रिय झाल्याची माहिती गुप्तचर यंत्रणांना मिळाली होती. गेल्या आठवड्यामध्येच काश्मिरमधील दहशतवादी हल्ल्यांमध्येही वाढ झाली होती. काल संध्याकाळी तांगधार येथे दहशतवाद्यांनी घुसखोरी करण्याचा प्रयत्न करत होते. त्याला प्रत्युत्तर देणाऱ्या भारतीय सैनिकांवर पाकिस्तानी सैन्याने गोळीबार केला. तेव्हाच आम्ही दहशतवादी तळांवर हल्ला करण्याचा निर्णय घेतला, अशी माहिती रावत यांनी दिली.
