श्रीनगर - जम्मू -काश्मीर राज्यातील जम्मू- श्रीनगर महामार्गावर मंगळवारी रात्री दरड कोसळली. उधमपूर जिल्ह्यातील मौड या ठिकाणी दरड कोसळल्यामुळे महामार्ग बंद झाला आहे. प्रशासनाकडून दरड हटवण्याचे काम चालू आहे.

दरड हटवण्याच्या कामामध्ये पावसामुळे अडचणी येत असल्याचे वाहतूक विभागाचे अधिक्षक एल. के तनेजा यांनी सांगितले. रस्ता बंद झाल्यामुळे महामार्गावर वाहनांच्या रांगा लागल्या आहेत. पावसामुळे राज्यातील डोंगराळ भागामध्ये दरड कोसळण्याच्या घटनांमध्ये वाढ झाली आहे.
जम्मू- श्रीनगर महामार्गावर रामबन जिल्ह्यात आणखी एका ठिकाणी दरड कोसळण्याची घटना घडली. रामसाऊ भागामध्ये पानथली आणि मोम पासी येथे पावसामुळे महामार्गावर दरड कोसळली. दरड कोसळत असतनाचा व्हिडिओ एका वाहनचालकाने चित्रित केला आहे.

७२ व्या केंद्रीय राखीव दलाच्या जवानांनी दरड कोसळल्यानंतर ढिगाऱ्याखाली अडकलेल्या एका नागरिकाची सुटका केली. काल (बुधवारी) संध्याकाळी जम्मू - श्रीनगर महामार्गावर दरड कोसळली होती. सीआरपीएफच्या श्वानाने ढिगाऱ्याखाली अडकलेल्या नागरिकाचा मागोवा घेतला. जखमी अवस्थेत त्याला रुग्णालयात दाखल करण्यात आले.
