कुलभूषण जाधव प्रकरण : आंतरराष्ट्रीय न्यायालय महिन्याच्या अखेरीस निर्णय देण्याची शक्यता

कुलभूषण प्रकरणी तोंडी सुनावणी पूर्ण झालेली आहे. आता आंतरराष्ट्रीय न्यायालय यावरील निर्णय जाहीर करेल. निर्णयाची तारीखही त्यांच्याकडूनच सांगण्यात येईल, असे ते म्हणाले.

नवी दिल्ली - हेरगिरीच्या आरोपाखाली पाकिस्तानच्या कैदेत असलेले भारतीय नागरिक कुलभूषण जाधव प्रकरणी आंतरराष्ट्रीय न्यायालय या महिन्याच्या अखेरीस निर्णय देण्याची शक्यता आहे. सूत्रांकडून ही माहिती मिळाली आहे. परराष्ट्र मंत्रालयाचे प्रवक्ते रवीश कुमार यांनी न्यायालय काही आठवड्यांतच या प्रकरणाचा निकाल देईल, असे म्हटले आहे. मात्र, अद्याप तारखेची घोषणा झालेली नाही, असे ते म्हणाले.

एप्रिल २०१७ मध्ये पाकिस्तानी लष्कराने हेरगिरी आणि दहशतवादाच्या आरोपाखाली कुलभूषण जाधव यांना फाशीची शिक्षा सुनावली होती. याविरोधात भारताने त्याच वर्षी आंतरराष्ट्रीय न्यायालयात (आयसीजे) धाव घेतील होती. आंतरराष्ट्रीय न्यायालयाच्या १० सदस्यीय पीठाने १८ मे २०१७ मध्ये जाधव यांच्या फाशीला स्थिगिती दिली होती. भारतातर्फे वरिष्ठ वकील अॅड. हरीष साळवे यांनी युक्तिवाद केला होता.
