हैदराबादमध्ये महिला डॉक्टरवर झालेल्या बलात्काराच्या घटनेनंतर देशभरात तीव्र पडसाद उमटले. आज संसदेच्या दोन्ही सभागृहांमध्ये यावर गदारोळ पाहायला मिळाला.

दिल्ली - हैदराबादमध्ये महिला डॉक्टरवर झालेल्या बलात्काराच्या घटनेनंतर देशभरात तीव्र पडसाद उमटले. आज संसदेच्या दोन्ही सभागृहांमध्ये यावर गदारोळ पाहायला मिळाला. राज्यसभेत काँग्रेस नेते गुलाम नबी आझाद यांनी, हा प्रश्न केवळ कायदे बनवून सोडवला जाऊ शकत नाही; तर या प्रकारचे गुन्हे रोखण्यासाठी सर्वांनी एकत्र येऊन पाऊल उचलण्याची आवश्यकता असल्याचे सांगितले. तसेच खासदार जया बच्चन यांनीही सरकारला धारेवर धरले. सरकारने या घटनेवर स्पष्टीकरण देण्याची मागणी त्यांनी यावेळी केली.

यावर बोलताना, अध्यक्ष वेंकय्या नायडू यांनी बलात्काराच्या घटनांवर नियंत्रण ठेवण्यासाठी नवीन कायद्याची आवश्यकता नसून प्रशासकीय कौशल्य, बदलण्याची मानसिकता आणि राजकीय इच्छाशक्तीची आवश्यकता असल्याचे सांगितले.

काँग्रेसच्या खासदार आमी याग्निक यांनी न्यायव्यवस्था, प्रशासन तसेच संसदेला एकत्र येऊन या प्रकाच्या घटनांना आळा घालण्यासाठी सामाजिक सुधारणेची आवश्यकता असल्याचे म्हटले. यासाठी तात्काळ सुधारणा करण्यात यावी, अशी मागणी त्यांनी लावून धरली.

एआयडीएमकेच्या खासदार विजिला सत्यनाथ यांनी सरकारवर टीका केली. देश महिला आणि बालकांसाठी सुरक्षित नसल्याचे सांगत त्यांनी खंत व्यक्त केली. तसेच हा खटला जलदगती न्यायालयात चालवून संबंधित आरोपींना वर्षाच्या अखेरपर्यंत फाशीची शिक्षा देण्याची मागणी यावेळी करण्यात आली. 'उशीरा न्याय देणे, म्हणजे न्याय नाकारणे', असे त्या म्हणाल्या.

लोकसभेतही प्रश्नोत्तराचा तास सुरू झाल्यावर गदारोळ पाहायला मिळाला. कायदा आणि सुव्यवस्थेचा प्रश्नावर बोलताना, सभापती ओम बिर्ला यांनी अशा प्रकारच्या घटानांवर संसदेने चिंता व्यक्त केल्याचे सांगितले. तसेच प्रश्नोत्तराच्या तासानंतर संबंधित विषयावर चर्चा करण्याची परवानगी दिली आहे, असे ते म्हणाले.
