नवी दिल्ली - जामिया मिलिया इस्लामिया विद्यापीठाच्या गेट नंबर 5 जवळ गोळीबार झाल्याची घटना समोर आली आहे. दरम्यान, सीएए आणि एनआरसी कायद्याच्या मुद्द्यांवर जामियाच्या विद्यार्थ्यांनी मागील काही दिवसांपासून आंदोलन छेडले आहे. दोन दिवसांपूर्वीच जामिया विद्यापीठाच्या विद्यार्थ्यांनी काढलेल्या मोर्चादरम्यान एका तरुणाने केलेल्या गोळीबारात एक विद्यार्थी जखमी झाला होता. आंदोलनाच्या काळात या परिसरातील गोळीबाराची ही दुसरी घटना आहे. या गोळीबारात कोणतीही जीवितहानी झाली नसल्याची माहिती पोलिसांनी दिली आहे.
प्रत्यदर्शींनी सांगितल्यानुसार, स्कुटरवरून दोन संशयित व्यक्ती विद्यापीठ परिसरातील गेट नंबर पाच जवळ आल्या होत्या. त्यातील एका व्यक्तीने लाल रंगाचे जॅकेट परिधान केले होते. शाहीन बागपासून दोन किमी दूर असलेल्या गेटजवळच हा गोळीबार झाला असल्याचे पोलिसांनी सांगितले. तसेच त्यावेळी आंदोलन करणाऱया आंदोलकांनी त्या व्यक्ती आलेल्या गाडीचा नंबर बघितला असून DL 2 S 1534 असा तो नंबर आहे.

दरम्यान, 30 जानेवारीला जामिया विद्यापीठाच्या विद्यार्थ्यांनी आयोजित केलेल्या मोर्चादरम्यान गोळीबार झाल्याची घटना घडली होती. सीएए आणि एनआरसी विरोधात दिल्लीच्या राजघाटपासून विद्यापीठापर्यंत विद्यार्थ्यांचा मोर्चा सुरू असताना यावेळी एका तरुणाने गोळीबार केला होता. यात एक विद्यार्थी जखमी देखील झाला होता.
