നേരത്തെ റിയോയിലെ വെങ്കലമെഡൽ ജേതാവ് സ്വീഡന്‍റെ സോഫിയ മാറ്റ്സനെ 7-1 ന് തകർത്താണ് വിനേഷ് ക്വാർട്ടറില്‍ കടന്നത്. തികച്ചും ഏകപക്ഷീയമായ വിജയമാണ് വിനേഷ് സ്വന്തമാക്കിയത്. ഒരു ഘട്ടത്തിൽ പോലും സ്വീഡൻ താരത്തെ മുന്നേറാന്‍ വിനേഷ് അനുവദിച്ചിരുന്നില്ല.
