മത്സരത്തിന്‍റെ ആദ്യ മിനിട്ടിൽ തന്നെ ആതിവേഗ ഗോളുമായി ജംഷഡ്‌പൂര്‍ ബെംഗളൂരുവിനെ ഞെട്ടിച്ചു. ഡാനിയൽ ചിമ ചുക്വുവാണ് ഒന്നാം മിനിട്ടിൽ തന്നെ മിന്നൽ വേഗത്തിൽ ഗോൾ നേടിയത്. ഇതോടെ മറുപടി ഗോൾ നേടാനുള്ള ശ്രമം ബെംഗളൂരു ആരംഭിച്ചെങ്കിലും ജംഷഡ്‌പൂര്‍ പ്രതിരോധനിര ശക്തമായി ചെറുത്തു. ഇതോടെ ആദ്യ പകുതി ഒരു ഗോൾ ലീഡുമായി ജംഷഡ്‌പൂര്‍ അവസാനിപ്പിച്ചു.

എന്നാൽ രണ്ടാം പകുതിയിൽ ബെംഗളൂരു ശക്തമായി തിരിച്ചടിച്ചു. 54-ാം മിനിട്ടിൽ നായകൻ സുനിൽ ഛേത്രിയാണ് ബെംഗളൂരുവിന്‍റെ ആദ്യ ഗോൾ സ്വന്തമാക്കിയത്. ഗോളടിച്ചതോടെ ഛേത്രി ഫെറാന്‍ കോറോമിനാസിനെ പിന്തള്ളി ഐഎസ്എല്ലിലെ എക്കാലത്തെയും വലിയ ടോപ് സ്കോറര്‍(49) എന്ന റെക്കോര്‍ഡിനൊപ്പമെത്തി. ബര്‍തോലോമ്യു ഒഗ്ബെച്ചെയാണ് 49 ഗോളുകളുമായി ഛേത്രിക്കൊപ്പമുളളത്.
