സെമിഫൈനലില്‍ ഇംഗ്ലണ്ടിന്‍റെ ജോർജ്ജ് റാമിനെയാണ് പുനിയ പരാജയപ്പെടുത്തിയത്. 10-0 എന്ന് സ്‌കോറിനായിരുന്നു പുനിയയുടെ മുന്നേറ്റം. പുരുഷന്മാരുടെ 86 കിലോഗ്രാം വിഭാഗത്തില്‍ ദീപക് പുനിയയും ഫൈനലിന് യോഗ്യത നേടിയിട്ടുണ്ട്.
വെള്ളിയുമായി അന്‍ഷുമാലിക്ക്: കോമണ്‍വെല്‍ത്ത് ഗെയിംസ് ഗുസ്‌തിയില്‍ അന്‍ഷു മാലിക്കിന് വെള്ളി. വനിതകളുടെ 57 കിലോ വിഭാഗത്തില്‍ നൈജീരിയന്‍ താരത്തോട് പരാജയപ്പെട്ടാണ് അന്‍ഷു വെള്ളി സ്വന്തമാക്കിയത്. മെഡല്‍പ്പോരാട്ടത്തില്‍ 3-7 എന്ന സ്‌കോറിനാണ് അൻഷു പരാജയപ്പെട്ടത്.
