സെഞ്ച്വറി നേടിയ നായകന്‍ വിരാട് കോലിയുടെ പിന്‍ബലത്തിലാണ് ആദ്യ ഇന്നിങ്സില്‍ മറുപടി ബാറ്റിങ്ങിന് ഇറങ്ങിയ ഇന്ത്യ ശക്തമായ സ്കോർ നേടിയത്. 194 പന്തില്‍ 136 റണ്‍സെടുത്ത കോലി ഇബാദത്ത് ഹുസൈന്‍റെ പന്തില്‍ തയ്‌ജുല്‍ ഇസ്ലാമിന് ക്യാച്ച് നല്‍കിയാണ് പുറത്തായത്. ഇന്ത്യക്ക് വേണ്ടി 105 പന്തില്‍ 55 റണ്‍സെടുത്ത ചേതേശ്വർ പുജാരയും 69 പന്തില്‍ 51 റണ്‍സെടുത്ത അജിങ്ക്യാ രഹാനയും മികച്ച സ്‌കോർ കണ്ടെത്തി. രണ്ടാം ദിനം മൂന്ന് വിക്കറ്റ് നഷ്ടത്തില്‍ 174 റണ്‍സെന്ന നിലയിലാണ് ഇന്ത്യ കളി തുടങ്ങിയത്.
