ശശികല ചിത്രം തെരഞ്ഞെടുപ്പിന് മുമ്പ്, ഫെബ്രുവരിയിൽ പ്രദർശിപ്പിക്കുമെന്നും ഡിസംബർ ആദ്യവാരം ചിത്രത്തിന്‍റെ ട്രെയിലർ പുറത്തുവിടുമെന്നും അദ്ദേഹം പറഞ്ഞു. 'സ്നേഹം അപകടകരമായ രാഷ്ട്രീയമാണ്' എന്ന ടാഗ്‌ ലൈനും ശശികല ചിത്രത്തിനായി ഉപയോഗിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്. "ഒരു സ്ത്രീയും ഒരു പുരുഷനും ചേർന്ന് ഒരു നേതാവിനോട് ചെയ്തതെന്ത് എന്നത് ചിത്രത്തിന്‍റെ പ്രമേയമാകുമെന്നും സംവിധായകൻ ട്വീറ്റിൽ വ്യക്തമാക്കി.
