നിരന്തരം പുതിയ പ്രസ്‌താവനകള്‍ ഇറക്കി വിവാദത്തിലാവുകയും പുലിവാല് പിടിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്ന ബോളിവുഡ് നടി കങ്കണ റണൗട്ട് ഇപ്പോള്‍ നടി ഊര്‍മിള മതോണ്ട്കറെ സോഫ്റ്റ് പോണ്‍ സ്റ്റാറെന്ന് വിശേഷിപ്പിച്ച് പുതിയ വിവാദത്തിന് തിരികൊളുത്തിരിക്കുകയാണ്. ഊര്‍മിളക്കെതിരെയുള്ള കങ്കണയുടെ പരാമര്‍ശം വിവാദമായതോടെ ഊര്‍മിളയ്ക്ക് പിന്തുണയുമായി ബോളിവുഡ് സിനിമാ പ്രവര്‍ത്തകര്‍ രംഗത്ത് വന്നിട്ടുണ്ട്.
'ഊര്‍മിള ഒരു സോഫ്റ്റ് പോണ്‍സ്റ്റാറാണ് അല്ലാതെ അവര്‍ അറിയപ്പെടുന്നത് അഭിനയത്തിന്‍റെ പേരിലല്ല. അവര്‍ക്ക് പോലും ടിക്കറ്റ് കിട്ടുന്നുവെങ്കില്‍ എനിക്ക് എന്തുകൊണ്ട് കിട്ടിക്കൂടാ' എന്നായിരുന്നു കങ്കണയുടെ പരാമര്‍ശം. സ്വര ഭാസ്കര്‍, അനുഭവ് സിന്‍ഹ തുടങ്ങിയവര്‍ ഊര്‍മിളയെ പിന്തുണച്ച്‌ രംഗത്ത് വന്നു. മയക്കുമരുന്ന് വ്യാപാരം ഏറ്റവും അധികം നടക്കുന്നത് കങ്കണയുടെ നാടായ ഹിമാചല്‍പ്രദേശിലാണെന്നും മയക്കുമരുന്നിനെതിരായ പോരാട്ടം അവിടെ നിന്നാരംഭിക്കണമെന്നും ഊര്‍മിള കഴിഞ്ഞ ദിവസം പറഞ്ഞിരുന്നു. ഒപ്പം ബോളിവുഡിലെ മയക്കുമരുന്ന് ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്നവരുടെ പേരുകള്‍ വെളിപ്പെടുത്തണമെന്നും അങ്ങനെ വെളിപ്പെടുത്തിയാല്‍ ആദ്യം വന്ന് താനായിരിക്കും അഭിനന്ദിക്കുകയെന്നും ഊര്‍മിള പറഞ്ഞിരുന്നു.
