യുഎസ് ഉപരാഷ്ട്രപതി മൈക്ക് പെൻസും തുർക്കി പ്രസിഡന്‍റ് റെസെപ് തയ്യിപ് എർദോഗനും അങ്കാറയിൽ നടത്തിയ കൂടിക്കാഴ്ചയിലാണ് കുർദിഷ് സേനയ്‌ക്കെതിരായ ആക്രമണം താത്ക്കാലികമായി നിർത്താമെന്ന തീരുമാനം ഉണ്ടായത്. എന്നാൽ സേനയെ പൂർണമായി പിൻവലിക്കുന്ന കാര്യത്തിൽ തീരുമാനമായില്ല.
