2003 ಮಾರ್ಚ್​ 1 ರಂದು ನಡೆದ ವಿಶ್ವಕಪ್​ ಪಂದ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾರತ ವಿರುದ್ಧ ಪಾಕ್ ಬ್ಯಾಟಿಂಗ್​ ಆಯ್ದುಕೊಂಡಿತ್ತು. ಪಂದ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ 7 ವಿಕೆಟ್​ ಕಳೆದುಕೊಂಡ ಪಾಕ್ 273 ರನ್​ ರನ್​ಗಳಿಸಿತ್ತು. ಭಾರತ ತಂಡ 6 ವಿಕೆಟ್​ ಕಳೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಈ ಗುರಿ ತಲುಪಿ ವಿಜಯಿಯಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಈ ಪಂದ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಕೈಫ್​ 60 ಎಸೆತಗಳಲ್ಲಿ 35 ರನ್​ಗಳಿಸಿದ್ದರು.
