ನವದೆಹಲಿ: ಟೀಂ ಇಂಡಿಯಾದ ಮಾಜಿ ಕ್ರಿಕೆಟರ್,ಲಿಟಲ್ ಮಾಸ್ಟರ್ ಕ್ರಿಕೆಟ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ಹಾಕಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಜರ್ಸಿ 10ಕ್ಕೆ ಬಿಸಿಸಿಐ ನಿವೃತ್ತಿ ಘೋಷಣೆ ಮಾಡಿ, ಯಾವುದೇ ಪ್ಲೇಯರ್ ಆ ನಂಬರ್ ಜರ್ಸಿ ಹಾಕಿಕೊಳ್ಳದಂತೆ ಹೇಳಿದೆ. ಇದೀಗ ನ್ಯೂಜಿಲ್ಯಾಂಡ್ ಕ್ರಿಕೆಟ್ ಮಂಡಳಿ ಕೂಡ ಅಂತಹ ಮಹತ್ವದ ನಿರ್ಧಾರಕ್ಕೆ ಮುಂದಾಗಿದೆ.
ನ್ಯೂಜಿಲ್ಯಾಂಡ್ ತಂಡದ ಮಾಜಿ ನಾಯಕ ಡೇನಿಯಲ್ ವೆಟೋರಿ ಅವರು ಈ ಹಿಂದೆ ಬಳಕೆ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಜರ್ಸಿ ನಂಬರ್ 11ಕ್ಕೆ ಅಲ್ಲಿನ ಕ್ರಿಕೆಟ್ ಮಂಡಳಿ ನಿವೃತ್ತಿ ಘೋಷಿಸಿದ್ದು, ಇನ್ಮುಂದೆ ಅಲ್ಲಿನ ಪ್ಲೇಯರ್ಸ್ ಈ ಜರ್ಸಿ ಹಾಕಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವಂತಿಲ್ಲ.

ನ್ಯೂಜಿಲ್ಯಾಂಡ್ ಪರ ಅತಿ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಕ್ರಿಕೆಟ್ ಪಂದ್ಯಗಳನ್ನಾಡಿರುವ ಹಿರಿಮೆ ಹೊಂದಿರುವ ವೆಟೋರಿ 2007ರಿಂದ 2015ರವರೆಗೆ ತಂಡದ ನಾಯಕರಾಗಿದ್ದರು. ಕಿವೀಸ್ ಪರ 291 ಏಕದಿನ ಪಂದ್ಯ ಆಡಿರುವ ಅವರು 2253 ರನ್, 305ವಿಕೆಟ್ ಹಾಗೂ 113 ಟೆಸ್ಟ್ ಪಂದ್ಯಗಳಿಂದ 4,531ರನ್ ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ 113 ವಿಕೆಟ್ ಪಡೆದುಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಶ್ರೀಲಂಕಾ ವಿರುದ್ಧ ಆರಂಭಗೊಳ್ಳಲಿರುವ ಟೆಸ್ಟ್ ಸರಣಿಗಾಗಿ ನ್ಯೂಜಿಲ್ಯಾಂಡ್ ತಂಡವನ್ನ ಪ್ರಕಟಗೊಳಿಸಿದ್ದು, ಆಯ್ಕೆಯಾಗಿರುವ ಪ್ಲೇಯರ್ಗೆ 11 ನಂಬರ್ ಜರ್ಸಿ ನೀಡಿಲ್ಲ. ಈ ಹಿಂದೆ ಕೂಡ ಬಿಸಿಸಿಐ ಮಾಸ್ಟರ್ ಬ್ಲಾಸ್ಟರ್ ಸಚಿನ್ ತೆಂಡೂಲ್ಕರ್ ಬಳಕೆ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಜರ್ಸಿ ನಂಬರ್ 10ನ್ನು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಗೌರವ ಸಲ್ಲಿಕೆ ಮಾಡುವ ಉದ್ದೇಶದಿಂದ ನಿವೃತ್ತಿಯಾಗಿಸುವ ನಿರ್ಧಾರ ಕೈಗೊಂಡಿತ್ತು.
