नई दिल्ली : पूर्व भारतीय सलामी बल्लेबाज वीरेंद्र सहवाग ने कहा कि पूरा देश विराट कोहली को विश्व कप ट्रॉफी उठाते हुए देखने का बेसब्री से इंतजार कर रहा है. सहवाग ने याद किया कि कैसे उन्होंने और उनके साथियों ने एमएस धोनी के नेतृत्व में 2011 में सचिन तेंदुलकर के लिए अपना सब कुछ झोंक दिया था.

सहवाग ने खुलासा किया कि विश्व कप के दौरान धोनी ने पूरे टूर्नामेंट में केवल खिचड़ी खाई थी. उन्होंने कहा, 'एमएस धोनी पूरे 2011 विश्व कप के दौरान खिचड़ी खाते थे. यह उनका अंधविश्वास था'. भारत अपने 2023 विश्व कप अभियान की शुरुआत 8 अक्टूबर को चेन्नई के एमए चिदंबरम स्टेडियम में ऑस्ट्रेलिया के खिलाफ करेगा.
