અમદાવાદ: વિમેન્સ પ્રીમિયર લીગ (WPL) ફ્રેન્ચાઇઝી ગુજરાત જાયન્ટ્સે રવિવારે ટૂર્નામેન્ટ માટે તેમની જર્સીનું અનાવરણ કર્યું. નારંગી રંગની જર્સીનો વીડિયો ફ્રેન્ચાઇઝીના ઓફિશિયલ ટ્વિટર હેન્ડલ પર શેર કરવામાં આવ્યો હતો. જર્સી પર ગર્જના કરતો સિંહ દેખાય છે. WPLની પ્રથમ આવૃત્તિમાં પાંચ ટીમો દિલ્હી કેપિટલ્સ, ગુજરાત જાયન્ટ્સ, મુંબઈ ઈન્ડિયન્સ, રોયલ ચેલેન્જર્સ બેંગ્લોર અને યુપી વોરિયર્સ ભાગ લઈ રહી છે. સ્મૃતિ મંધાના સૌથી મોંઘી ખેલાડી છે જેને રોયલ ચેલેન્જર્સ બેંગ્લોરે 3.40 કરોડ રૂપિયામાં ખરીદ્યો છે.

ટીમના કેપ્ટનની જાહેરાત: પ્રીમિયર લીગ (WPL)માં કુલ 20 લીગ મેચો અને બે પ્લેઓફ મેચો રમાશે. વિમેન્સ પ્રીમિયર લીગની પ્રથમ મેચ 4 માર્ચે ગુજરાત જાયન્ટ્સ અને મુંબઈ ઈન્ડિયન્સ વચ્ચે ડીવાય પાટિલ સ્ટેડિયમમાં રમાવાની છે. આ ટુર્નામેન્ટમાં ચાર ડબલ હેડર હશે. તેની પ્રથમ મેચ બપોરે 3.30 કલાકે અને બીજી મેચ સાંજે 7:30 કલાકે રમાવાની છે. બ્રેબોર્ન સ્ટેડિયમ અને ડીવાય પાટિલ સ્ટેડિયમમાં કુલ 11-11 મેચો રમાશે. ગુજરાત જાયન્ટ્સની ટીમ પણ ટૂંક સમયમાં ટીમના કેપ્ટનની જાહેરાત કરી શકે છે. સૂત્રોને ટાંકીને એવું માનવામાં આવે છે કે ઓસ્ટ્રેલિયાના એશ્લે ગાર્ડનર જાયન્ટ્સનો કેપ્ટન બની શકે છે.
ગુજરાત જાયન્ટ્સ શેડ્યૂલ: ગુજરાત જાયન્ટ્સ WPLની પ્રથમ મેચ મુંબઈ ઈન્ડિયન્સ સાથે રમશે. 5 માર્ચે બીજી મેચ યુપી વોરિયર્સ સામે થશે. જાયન્ટ્સ 8 માર્ચે ત્રીજી મેચમાં રોયલ ચેલેન્જર્સ બેંગ્લોર સામે ટકરાશે. ચોથી મેચ 11 માર્ચે દિલ્હી કેપિટલ્સ સાથે થશે. ગુજરાત જાયન્ટ્સ 14મી માર્ચે મુંબઈ ઈન્ડિયન્સ સામે 5મી મેચ રમશે. 6મી મેચ દિલ્હી કેપિટલ્સ દ્વારા 16મી માર્ચે, 7મી મેચ રોયલ ચેલેન્જર્સ બેંગ્લોર 18મી માર્ચે, 8મી મેચ યુપી વોરિયર્સ દ્વારા 20મી માર્ચે રમાશે.
