હૃદયરોગના હુમલાને પગલે કોરિયોગ્રાફરનું નિધન થયું હતું. શ્વાસની ફરિયાદ બાદ ઘણા દિવસો સુધી સરોજ ખાનને બાંદ્રાની હોસ્પિટલમાં દાખલ કરવામાં આવ્યા હતા, જ્યાં મોડી રાત્રે 1.30 વાગ્યે તેમનું અવસાન થયું હતું.
