વડાપ્રધાન મોદીએ પોતાનું દુઃખ વ્યક્ત કરતા લખ્યું કે, સિનેમા જગતના દિગ્ગજને આજે આપણે ગુમાવ્યા છે. તે પોતાના અલગ જ અંદાજ, એક્ટિંગ અને કલાકારીના જૂદા-જૂદા માધ્યમથી હંમેશા આપણી વચ્ચે રહેશે અને આપણે તેને યાદ કરીશું.
આ ઉપરાંત PM મોદીએ આ દુઃખદ ઘડીએ તેના પરિવારને ભગવાન શક્તિ આપે તેવી પ્રાર્થના કરી હતી અને ઇરફાન ખાનની આત્માને શાંતિ અર્પે તેવી દુઆ માગી હતી.
