નવી દિલ્હીઃ પ્રખ્યાત તબલા વાદક ઝાકિર હુસૈનનું 73 વર્ષનું વયે નિધન થયું છે. હૃદયની તકલીફ બાદ તેમને સાન ફ્રાન્સિસ્કોની એક હોસ્પિટલના ICUમાં દાખલ કરવામાં આવ્યા હતાં.
કેન્દ્રીય જલ શક્તિ મંત્રી સીઆર પાટીલે ઝાકિર હુસૈનના નિધન પર શ્રદ્ધાંજલિ પાઠવી છે. કેન્દ્રીય મંત્રી પાટીલે એક્સ પર એક પોસ્ટમાં તેમને શ્રદ્ધાજંલિ પાઠવતા લખ્યુ કે 'પ્રસિદ્ધ તબલાવાદક અને ભારતીય સંગીતના અદ્વિતિય સાધક પદ્મ વિભૂષણ ઉસ્તાદ જાકિર હુલૈનના નિધનના સમાચારથી અત્યંત દુ:ખ થયું છે.

પદ્મશ્રી, પદ્મ ભૂષણ અને પદ્મ વિભૂષણ એવોર્ડથી સન્માનિત
પ્રખ્યાત તબલાવાદક ઝાકિર હુસૈનને પદ્મશ્રી, પદ્મ ભૂષણ અને પદ્મ વિભૂષણ જેવા પુરસ્કારોથી નવાજવામાં આવ્યા છે. એટલું જ નહીં, ઝાકિર હુસૈન એવા પહેલા ભારતીય તબલાવાદક છે જેમને ભૂતપૂર્વ રાષ્ટ્રપતિ બરાક ઓબામાએ ઓલ-સ્ટાર ગ્લોબલ કોન્સર્ટમાં ભાગ લેવા માટે આમંત્રણ આપ્યું હતું.

3 વર્ષની ઉંમરે તબલા વગાડવાની તાલીમ શરૂ કરી
મહારાષ્ટ્રની રાજધાની મુંબઈમાં 1951માં જન્મેલા ઝાકિર હુસૈને માત્ર 3 વર્ષની ઉંમરે તબલા વગાડવાની પ્રેક્ટિસ શરૂ કરી હતી. આટલું જ નહીં, તેમણે 7 વર્ષની ઉંમરે તબલા વગાડવાનું શરૂ કરી દીધું હતું. 11 વર્ષની ઉંમરે ઝાકિર હુસૈને અલગ-અલગ જગ્યાએ પોતાના પ્રોગ્રામ આપવાનું શરૂ કર્યા હતાં.
