یہ حادثہ مقامی وقت کے اعتبار سے صبح کے 08:45 بجے پیش آیا۔
ذرائع کے مطابق ایئرلائنز نمبر ای ٹی 302 نے اُڑان بھری ہی تھی کہ وہ حادثے کا شکار ہوگئی۔
خیال رہے یہ ایئر لائنز ایتھوپیا سے کینیا کےدارالحکومت نیروبی کی طرف جارہی تھی۔

اطلاعات کےمطابق اس میں 149 مسافر سوار تھے، جس میں 33 مختلف ممالک کے رہنےوالےشہری تھے۔
یہ حادثہ بشوفتو شہر سے 60 کلو میٹر دور پیش آیا۔ ابھی تک حادثے کی وجوہات کا پتہ نہیں چلا ہے۔
اس سے قبل بھی سنہ 2016 میں بوئنگ 737 حادثےکا شکار ہوگئی تھی۔
ایتھوپیا کےصدر کی جانب سے ٹوئٹر پر گہرے رنج و غم کا اظہار کیاگیا ہے۔
