25 جولائی 1935 کو آندھرا پردیش کے کرشنا ضلع میں پیدا ہوئے ستیہ نارائن نے سال 1959 میں تیلگو فلم سیپائی کوتھورو سے اپنی اداکاری کی شروعات کی۔ 6 دہائی پر مشتمل اپنے فلمی کیرئری کے دوران ستیہ نارائن نے تقریبا 800 فلموں میں کام کیا۔ اگرچہ انہیں زیادہ تر فلموں میں ویلن کا کردار ادا کرتے ہوئے دیکھا گیا لیکن خاص طور پر انہیں بھگوان یم کا کردار ادا کرنے پر کافی سراہا گیا۔
نئے زمانے کے کئی ٹالی ووڈ اسٹاروں جیسے این ٹی راما راؤ، ناگیشور راؤ، کرشنا سے لے کر چرنجیوی تک، ناگارجن، وینکٹیش، بالاکرشنا، اور پربھاس، اللو ارجن کو ستینہ نارائن کے ساتھ کام کرنے کا موقع ملا۔ انہیں آخری بار سال 2019 میں مہیش بابو کی فلم ' مہارشی' میں دیکھا گیا تھا۔
